BBC Member stars on World Stage.

Congratulations to our member, 22 year old BLAIR WATTERS from Boolaroo.

Blair first became involved in WorldSkills Australia when he competed in the 2013 WorldSkills Australia Regional Competition at Hunter TAFE Glendale Campus where he won gold in Car Painting. He then went on to again win gold at the national trials in Perth.

Blair says “I first got involved in the automotive vehicle painting industry when I was studying for my HSC. I took part in a TVet (VET in schools) course in Automotive Vehicle Painting which inspired me to get an apprenticeship in the industry. I have a passion for custom car painting and restoration work”.

Blair is currently a 4th year Head Paint Technician and works at T&K Restorations in Creek Reserve Road Boolaroo.

In August this year, Blair competed against the top 20 apprentices worldwide and finished a very credible 8th.

Talent clearly runs in the family. His sister Skye now 25, won a division of the Australian Highland Dancing at the tender age of 12.

Well done Blair.
